{"id":4655,"date":"2022-06-15T21:11:36","date_gmt":"2022-06-16T01:11:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mkn-rcm.ca\/?page_id=4655"},"modified":"2022-11-05T19:32:55","modified_gmt":"2022-11-05T23:32:55","slug":"niagara-catholic-brock-u-collaborative-coding","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.mkn-rcm.ca\/french\/niagara-catholic-brock-u-collaborative-coding\/","title":{"rendered":"*Codage collaboratif \u00e0 la Niagara Catholic DSB avec l&#8217;universit\u00e9 Brock"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"twitter-share\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/intent\/tweet?via=mknrcm\" class=\"twitter-share-button\">Tweet<\/a><\/div>\n<p><strong>A collaborative approach to implementing coding in Gr.5-9 math classrooms<\/strong> involving pre- and in-service teachers, numeracy consultants, and university faculty<strong>:&nbsp;<\/strong>A partnership between Niagara Catholic District School Board and Brock University \u2013 Winter 2022<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-4666 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mkn-rcm.ca\/french\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Picture1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"273\" height=\"363\">This past winter, 25 Niagara Catholic District School Board in-service teachers&nbsp;and 36 Brock University pre-service teachers worked together to prepare and implement coding and mathematics activities in Gr. 5-9 classrooms. The outcomes were richer than anticipated!<\/p>\n<p>This provides one way of supporting the enactment of the new coding expectations in the Ontario math curricula. Below, through different resources, we share details of how this collaborative approach worked, including key insights on what was learned (on implementation and from such a collaborative approach), in terms of potential benefits and difficulties.
